Social media creators

Social creators usually reach players who are new to your brand.

Social media creators usually reach the broadest, coldest audience: plenty of regs (registrations), with a lower reg-to-FTD rate.

Spain and Tanzania show why the rate alone isn’t enough.

First deposits (FTDs) and deposit totals here are past results, not a promise for your test. The Spain case ran for 45 days: the test and continued work after the decision to scale. The Tanzania case records a 30-day test. Deposit totals include first and repeat deposits over each case period.

The euro is the local currency in Spain; Tanzania’s total was converted from Tanzanian shillings to dollars. The 14% and 22% rates aren’t benchmarks for social creators: the geos and periods differ.

Reg-to-FTD rate, first deposits and deposit total

The reg-to-FTD rate shows the share of registered players who made a first deposit. Compare it with first deposits and the deposit total over the same period.

MetricWhat it tells youWhat to check alongside it
Reg-to-FTD rateThe share of registered players who made a first depositFirst deposits: the rate doesn’t tell you how many players deposited.
First depositsHow many players made a first depositDeposit total: the player count doesn’t include every deposit.

Questions about new players and reg-to-FTD rate

Does a lower rate always mean social creators performed poorly?

No. You also need first deposits and the deposit total. We agree the first-deposit target before launch; the rate alone doesn’t tell you whether it was met.

Why is Tanzania at 22% if social creators usually have a lower rate?

Usually doesn’t mean in every geo. These cases don’t establish the pattern for social creators: geo affects the figures more than creator type, and the two case periods differ.

Can the Spain case become our target for a 30-day test?

No. The Spain case ran for 45 days, including work after the test. It isn’t a target for a 30-day test.
